We come from humble beginnings. For the last 25 years, we have focused on raising our four beautiful humans and building our businesses from the ground up: Mark as a financial consultant and Stacee as a creative entrepreneur. We are both passionate about giving back, whether it’s supporting our local community or empowering women in third-world countries to start their own businesses. Our lives are centered around our beloved family, friends and creating experiences that bring people and communities together in creative and inspirational ways through art, nature, gardening, cooking, health and wellness.
We have lofty goals for this home, with plans for a future art studio addition, where Stacee will be able to continue to enrich lives through artistic experiences and expand her many interests, the latest being permaculture (living in harmony with nature) and farm-to-fork dining with herbs, grown right on the property.
We never expected to own a property like this and want to share it! We have poured all of our love into creating a space that we hope will draw you in and take hold of your heart.
Stacee
Casa Colibri is named for the magical hummingbirds you will see on the property!
Hummingbirds also symbolize beauty, playfulness, renewal and healing which are exactly the feelings we want to evoke for every guest who spends time here. Stacee has a personal connection to this tiny creature:
My grandma Georgette was a very kind and gentle soul, She was an artist and avid gardener who loved animals and nature. For a time, when as she went to water the flowers in her lush back garden each morning, a little hummingbird would come to visit her. She would hold up the garden hose and make a sprinkling shower and the hummingbird would fly back and forth through the water, sometimes stopping to look at my grandma. It was a transcendent experience for her which she enthusiastically shared with me.
Her joy was infectious. In that spirit and in her honor, we endeavor to create a special place where guests can create art (onsite art classes are available for booking), connect with nature and with each other. We hope you smile when you see a hummingbird around the property!
